It is currently the hub of Lion Air/Wings Air for the northeastern part of Indonesia and is one of the focus cities of Garuda Indonesia and Citilink. It is served by international airlines. The terminal will be upgraded from present 26 thousands square to 56 thousands square metres. The expansion of the terminal has been completed by mid 2021.
