It is surrounded by forests and lakes, and has a single grass/gravel runway, a handful of old hangars, and is home to the Rideau Lakes Flying Club. It occasionally hosts fly-in events for light aircraft and camping under the wing is permitted. There is a scenic lake-side approach for runway 25 and a more challenging one over the trees for runway 07. The grass runway can be tricky to spot and line up for newcomers, and although there is no official lighting, someone has placed a couple of small solar lamps at the end of runway 25 for those tricky emergency evening landings. This rendition by NetDesign has been faithfully recreated based on in-person site visits. It uses high-resolution assets that maintain detail up close, and a starting position has been added inside the spooky old hangar.
