The island of Tenerife has two airports: the Tenerife North Airport (or Los Rodeos) and Tenerife South Airport (also known as Tenerife South-Reina Sofia Airport in honor of the former Queen of Spain). The south airport is situated in a tourist area, and therefore is the busiest, having hundreds of connections to different parts of the world. The south airport is situated in a tourist area, and therefore is the busiest, having hundreds of connections to different parts of the world. Tenerife North Airport operates mostly domestic flights between the islands of the archipelago. In this package, we recreated these two airports, GCTS and GCXO, and added a few POIs with custom satellite images and mesh.
The airports are known for their difficult weather conditions making every approach challenging. In the north, you’ll frequently meet low clouds, fog, and rain. In the south on the other hand wind gusts, sandstorms, and wind shears. Watch out for Calima and extremely high temperatures combined with low visibility.
