Over its production run, nearly 20,000 J3 Cubs were built, including both civilian and military variants, providing initial flight training for an impressive 80... Today, the J3 Cub remains a popular choice in civilian aviation. Its simplicity and wide availability make it an affordable option, while its forgiving handling characteristics appeal to many bush pilots. Most J3 Cubs have been upgraded from their original 60hp Continental A-65 engines to enhance performance. The Classic Aircraft Simulations J3C-65 features an optional modern transponder and radio, and a custom configuration tablet, all of which are hideable for a more traditional J3 experience. Utilising the latest MSFS CFD flight model technology in tandem with a custom engine start model, gear failure system and engine characteristics augmentation, the CAS cub faithfully recreates the J3 experience.
