They consist of the main islands of Lanzarote, Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura, La Palma and Tenerife but also include the less visited destinations of La Graciosa, La Gomera and El Hierro. There is rich nautical history here too. The port of San Sebastian la Gomera was the last stopping place of Christopher Columbus on his first transatlantic voyage in 1492. Today it is a port of call for the Fred Olsen Benchi Express, a small catamaran ferry that serves the various destinations on the island. El Hierro, also known as Ferro once served as the prime meridian, as it was the most westerly place known to ancient geographers.
Today the Islas Canarias (as they are known in Spain) are a bustling tourist destination with Tenerife and Gran Canaria being busy maritime hubs for cargo and cruise shipping as well as offshore oil drilling operations. You will find all of that represented in this scenery with the ports of Santa Cruz de Tenerife and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria being especially alive with nautical traffic.
The scenery includes many ferries from the various operators in this area with all but one (the little Benchi Express) having helidecks that you can land on as they move from port to port. We have also included landable, moving supply ships, cruise ships, drilling ships and a semi-submersible oil platform (that is being towed) to maximise your helicopter fun (see map below for starting locations of these).

Adjusting the time slightly can reload the boat traffic fully if it seems too low on first starting a flight (known MSFS bug).

That includes many leisure boats such as sailing yachts and motor boats together with the large superyachts that are the reserve of the super-rich. You might also be lucky enough to spot one of the few nuclear-powered submarines that are on exercise near to the islands too. . .
Of particular note is Pearl Harbor, with its historical significance, wide array of US Navy warships and of course the USS Missouri aka 'Mighty Mo'. The US fleet is very active around the these islands.
Moving Ships with Hard Decks
This is the first of our sceneries to feature 'landable', moving US Navy, US Coast Guard and tanker vessels that you will find off the coast of most of the airports. All of the Navy vessels in this scenery can be landed on with the exception of the submarines.

Try a flight around Plymouth and you might see an Astute class nuclear submarine leaving His Majesty's Naval Base Devonport, a Bay-class dock landing ship or Type 23 frigate of the Royal Navy (both of which you can land on while underway). With a scenery this size there is plenty to explore.
Take a flight along the Bristol Channel to find a variety of commercial shipping including vehicle carriers travelling to and from Portbury Docks near the River Avon.
You will find an array of coastal leisure traffic going about its business together with large tankers and ferries leaving their ports in Poole and Plymouth or RNLI lifeboats at Looe.
