Next to the airport is the Upper Area Control Center Maastricht of Eurocontrol, which monitors the upper airspace above 24,500 ft (approx. 7,500 m) in northwest Germany, the Benelux countries and northern France. The control center was also recreated in great detail for the scenery. Furthermore, many custom 3D objects were implemented for the ground vehicles, static aircraft, various buildings, signs and much more, including custom lighting models.
