LKMT - Ostrava Airport
The history of Ostrava - Mošnov International Airport dates back to the first decade of the last century. Here in the then village of Harty lived the Žurovcov brothers, regional aviation pioneers who carried out their work and experiments in the years 1909 - 1914. The place where the Ostrava airport is now located was used for air traffic for the first time by the German Luftwaffe, which built a field airport here in 1939 after the occupation of Czechoslovakia for the preparation of an attack on Poland. In May 1945, on the other hand, they were used by the first Czechoslovak mixed air division. Then followed a period of inactivity and the land was returned to its original purpose, that is agricultural production. Modern history begins in 1956 with the start of construction work on the current airport. It was clear from the beginning that there would not only be traffic here, but that the airport would primarily serve the needs of the military. The official start of civil air traffic is dated October 16, 1959, when the TU - 104 A aircraft landed here. The air traffic provided by ČSA included mainly domestic, but also irregular foreign flights. During them, all types of ČSA transport aircraft, whether piston or jet, took turns on the grounds of the Mošnov airport. In the 1960s and 1970s, there was also air taxi operation. The year 1989 became a significant turning point. Soon after that, in 1993, the activities of the military part of the airport came to an end and thus all concerns related to the operation of the airport were transferred to the shoulders of ČSL. July 1, 2004 was a date when the Ostrava airport was transferred from the property of the Czech Airport Administration, s. p. into the ownership of the Moravian-Silesian Region. Ostrava Airport has become a dynamically developing organism. Today, you can meet here airplanes of various carriers, without exaggeration, from all over the world on charter flights, as well as machines of domestic airlines. Ostrava International Airport has become an important partner for the development of the entire Moravian-Silesian region.

It is located on the southwestern edge of the city of Pardubice, south of the Veľké Pardubické racecourse. The airport terminal opened in 2017 is named after the Czech aviation pioneer Jan Kašpar. The operator of the civil part of the airport is the company East Bohemian Airport a. s. (EBA), whose owner is the statutory city of Pardubice and the Pardubice Region. Air traffic control services at the airport and in MCTR, rescue and fire service and weather service are provided to civil aircraft by military positions. Pardubice Airport was established during the First Republic, until 1995 it served primarily for military purposes. The oldest check-in building of the Pardubice airport, today serves as a museum of Ing. Ján Gašpar, civil operations began in 1995.

LZHL - Holíč Airport
An airport that breathes history. The airport was founded with the help of aviation enthusiasts who decided to build it in the territory of the city of Holíč. During the Second World War, it served as a reserve in Bažantnica near Kopčian in limited areas and in the possession of the army. After the liberation in 1945, it again came under the administration of the city. One of the enthusiasts owns a meadow near the airport, which he made available to expand the airport and make it more functional... An airport that breathes history. The airport was founded with the help of aviation enthusiasts who decided to build it in the territory of the city of Holíč. During the Second World War, it served as a reserve in Bažantnica near Kopčian in limited areas and in the possession of the army. After the liberation in 1945, it again came under the administration of the city. One of the enthusiasts owns a meadow near the airport, which he made available to expand the airport and make it more functional. Thus, in 1947, the airport began to receive new life under the registration of the Slovak National Aeroclub. Together they bought 2 pieces of Piper L-4 aircraft and a school glider SG-38 Gleitr from the army surplus from the then UNRY. They built the first wooden hangar and clubhouse, where members of the aero club met. In 1951, the aero club came under the Zväzarm army organization and aviation technology was expanded. They were Z 22 Junák, Z 381, Z-26, Z 126, Z 226 Trainer, biplane C-104, and gliders such as the German Kranich, Z-24 Krajánek, LG-125 Šohaj, VT-109 Pionýr and others. At the beginning of 1954, the training of sports parachutists and the education of conscripts for military paratroopers began at the airport. The oldest Aerotaxi station with Z-381 and Aero-45 aircraft was also established at the airport, serving nearby businesses as well as private passengers. A powdering station of Agrolet and Slov-Air was also built here for three surrounding districts. Today, the premises of the former Slov-Air are privately owned. In the years 1960 to 1980, there was a big boom in the construction of hangars and buildings, and the aircraft park was expanding with new machines. Currently, the airport is used by Aeroklub Holíč as well as by private aircraft owners who have their hangars built on the airport's area. The airport was founded for the needs of the Lučenec Aeroclub in 1965 and since then it has been operating at the Lučenec - Bolkovce LZLU airport. In 1979, the Center of Top Sports of the Central Committee of Zväzarm was established at the airport - the base of parachuting, for the training of top athletes of parachutists, the center of top sports of youth and the center of the state sports representation in parachuting. In 1979, the Center of Top Sports of the Central Committee of Zväzarm was established at the airport - the base of parachuting, for the training of top athletes of parachutists, the center of top sports of youth and the center of the state sports representation in parachuting. The Air Sports Center and the Slovak Ultralight Flying Federation were also founded here. Among the important personalities from the world of parachuting who worked at the airport were several multiple world champions: Josef Pavlata, Karol Adamčík, Libor Jiroušek and others. Among the women were Květoslava Lněníčková, Jana Kočárková, Katarína Babincová and others. Slovak cosmonaut Ivan BELLA also completed the jump here. The representatives of the Czech Republic and members of the legendary DUKLA Prostějov also completed sports training here. The World Parachuting Championships were held in Lučenec 6 times in the years 1982/1991/2000/2002/2008/2009, with the participation of 38 to 42 countries. The Czechoslovak and Slovak Championships, the PARAPOS International Competitions were also organized here. Furthermore, they organized joint training camps with the representative teams of France, USSR, Russia, GDR, Turkey, Poland, Croatia, Hungary, Oman, UAE, Bulgaria, Austria and many other countries. The Slovak Ultralight Flying Federation organized here the Slovak Championship in Navigational Flying, the Slovak Championship and cup competitions in landing accuracy, training of aviation personnel and talented youth. The scenery shows the state in which, according to the Aeroclub and the investor, the airport will be in the near future. Očová Airport ( LZOC ) is a non-public domestic airport with irregular traffic located in the Podpoľanie region, northeast of the town of Zvolen near the village of Očová. It has two grass runways measuring 780 x 25 m and 620 x 40 m. The region itself offers excellent opportunities for tourism, history lovers will definitely not miss a visit to the historical towns of Zvolen, Banská Bystrica, Banská Štiavnica or Kremnica. The famous Sliač Spa is also nearby. Očová Airport is a good choice if you are planning to visit the region of central Slovakia. Očová Airport is known for its history and famous personalities. Among the most important personalities who started flying at this airport is undoubtedly the former Slovak fighter pilot and the first citizen of the Slovak Republic, who in 1999 flew as the 385th person into space, retired Brigadier General Ing. Ivan Bella. Other world-famous personalities of the Očová airport are the legendary and unique Slovak acrobatic group operating since 1981 in the Očová Aeroclub, Očovskí Bačovia. The only group in the world that since 2003 consists of a Z 137 Turbocmelak towing aircraft and four gliders (L-13, L-23 Blaník). Until this year, the group performed at air days in a set of four Z 142 towing motor planes and four L 13 gliders. The group has many performances and records to its credit. The most significant is the one from 2006, where nine gliders successfully took off from Sliač airport, followed by one single-engine plane.

Aeroklub Bratislava was founded in 1928 under the name Slovenský Aeroklub M. R. Štefánika and became part of the Aeroclub of the Czechoslovak Republic. Vajnory near Bratislava became his home. Promotional flights and performances at air days were performed by military pilots of the Vajnor crew, who at the same time performed the functions of flying instructors in the aero club. Between 1934 and 1935, the aero club built two hangars on the hillside of Dúbravka near Bratislava and began intensively organizing gliding training. In the period before the Second World War, interest in building aviation and flight training increased. With great effort, the instructors also trained pilots for the aviation school in Prostejov. The well-organized promotion generated great interest in flight training in Bratislava. However, with the outbreak of the Second World War, the activity of the aero club practically stopped. During the Second World War, many members of the aeroclub joined the anti-fascist resistance as participants of the SNP, the paratrooper brigade as well as in the Battle of Great Britain. Only after the war did life return to the aero club. A group of glider pilots, with the approval of the superior authorities, moved the captured gliders from Austria and resumed gliding training on the hillsides of Dúbravka. In 1946, a parachuting department with a Douglas DC3 aircraft was established in Bratislava. In 1954 the aero club was assigned new modern motorized and non-motorized airplanes of domestic production, and paratroopers were equipped with new parachutes. As time went on, the airport in Vajnory became inadequate due to the close proximity of the M. R. Stefánik Intl. airport and its growing air traffic. The Aeroclub decided to move, and since 2007, Štefan Banič Airport near Trnava has become its new home. Currently, the aero club operates both motorized and non-motorized aircrafts. Poprad-Tatry Airport LZTT is an international airport in Poprad - Slovak Republic. It lies at an altitude of 718 m above sea level. m. and is the highest airport for short and medium-haul aircraft in Central Europe. The goal of this project was to create the most reliable scenery of Poprad-Tatry International Airport near city of Slovak Republic Poprad. With an eye for detail, this airport was created on the basis of photo documentation obtained by a in person visits to the airport (May 2022), on the basis of satellite images and accurate information from the AIP SR (airport maps). So, the airport was created from the most up-to-date data available at the time of creation. The beginnings of today's international airport in Poprad date back to 1938. As part of defense measures before the Second World War, a large field airport was established near the village. From 1943, the regular state service Bratislava-Sliač-Poprad-Prešov started flying from Poprad. With the approaching World Championships in classic skiing at Štrbské Pleso (February 1970), the pressure to improve the quality of all services in the vicinity of the High Tatras grew. A grass runway was paved and a new administrative building was added to the airport. Joint-stock company Letisko Poprad – Tatry, a. s. was established like other small airports (Piešťany, Sliač and Žilina) on January 1, 2005 based on registration in the Commercial Register of the Prešov District Court. On 3 December 2005, SkyEurope Airlines launched a regular service to London-Stansted Airport, which it operated until its collapse at the end of August 2009. Poprad-Tatry Airport did not receive a replacement for this canceled service until 26 October 2014, when London-Luton Airport began fly the Hungarian company Wizz Air. In 2008, Poprad-Tatry Airport carried out the reconstruction of the lighting approach system of runway 27 and the extension of the arrival terminal, which was carried out with the funds of the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) in accordance with the approved Operational Program. On January 31, 2014, a new departure hall was ceremonially opened, which meets all Schengen conditions. Its construction cost almost 2. 62 million euros. On March 29, 2022, the airport put into operation the modern Rosenbauer Panther 6×6 firefighting vehicle, which is designed to actively fight aircraft fires and to assist and protect passengers during emergency evacuation.
